The song challenges listeners to look beyond quick judgments and consider the circumstances that shape people’s choices.
Drawing inspiration from Romans 2 and other biblical themes, the lyrics point to the idea that God’s law is written on the human heart and remind listeners that every person ultimately answers to God, not to one another.
“We wanted to create a song that feels like summer on the waterfront, while also encouraging people to think more deeply about grace, judgment, and what truly gives life meaning,” says Capt. Russ T Shipp.
