Gideon Roberts has released his song 'First Love' to Christian radio, taken from his recent EP, 'My Heart Is Your Home'.
Gideon Roberts was born and raised in Texas and resides in the city of Dallas. He began writing music as a teenager and led worship in his local youth group during high school. Gideon Roberts was born and raised in Texas and resides in the city of Dallas. He began writing music as a teenager and led worship in his local youth group during high school. Becoming a musician was never a goal when he was younger, but the pathway continually opened wide to him and it unlocked a deep creativity and joy. He has led worship and participated in many different churches over the years, and he now calls Upperroom his home church.
His most notable projects have been released through SongLab, a songwriting community led by Meredith Mauldin. “My Favorite,” the first song that SongLab released, was written by Gideon and Meredith, and featured a duet by Gideon and Abbie Gamboa (prev. Abbie Simmons). He also wrote and sang “Secure in You,” which was also released through SongLab.
Gideon has written hundreds of songs, and his craft only continues to grow. When he sits down (or walks around) to write, his desire is to create authentic songs that get past the surface level, skin-deep rhymes and fillers, and to write something that captures the heart of heaven and gives us pause. He has helped several churches, ministries, and individuals with their writing, such as North Palm Worship (“Victory to Victory,” “No Name Is Higher,” “Incorruptible,” and “Help My Unbelief”), The Oaks Church (“The King Is in the Room”), and Meredith Mauldin (“Adoration,” “Carry Me”), among others.
Gideon has finished his first solo project, working on six songs. He also has another song release expected with SongLab, and a duet song with Majesty Rose (previously from Maverick City) on a date TBA.
