"Love Made a Way" is built around a simple but powerful declaration: "love made a way so I'm not afraid anymore." From that foundation, the song traces a journey from fear and shame to freedom, from being orphaned to adopted, and from the weight of sin and death to the new life made possible through Christ.
At its heart, "Love Made a Way" is an invitation to live with unshakable confidence in the finished work of the cross. The song reminds listeners that no circumstance is too great to face when the One who is above it all walks with them.
"In Jesus' name I am free / Perfect love lives in me / I have been chosen, Heaven is open / Love made a way," the group sings in the song's soaring chorus.
The message reflects the heart behind The Slower I Go, a collective of friends brought together through a shared passion for worship, songwriting, and Scripture. What began with time spent together strumming guitars, turning Scripture into songs, and worshiping alongside one another eventually grew into a musical ministry centered on friendship, loyalty, and obedience to God.
Comprised of Noah Priebe, Brooklyn Summer, Dacey Lane, and Logan York, The Slower I Go brings together vocalists and multi-instrumentalists who blend modern worship with influences from across the musical spectrum.
The group officially launched with debut single "All Or Nothing" and has since surpassed 100,000 streams across digital platforms while continuing to build a growing audience. Their music has also earned early editorial support, including a Spotify editorial playlist placement for their collaboration with Zane Walls, "SHOCK!"
For The Slower I Go, however, the growing numbers remain secondary to the purpose behind the music.
Their mission is to remain loyal and obedient to the Lord, keeping Him at the center of their lives and creativity while pursuing the opportunities He places before them. That foundation is reflected clearly in "Love Made a Way," which moves beyond simply acknowledging what Christ has done and celebrates what His sacrifice means for everyday life: freedom from shame, belonging in the family of God, and courage in the face of fear.
Written by The Slower I Go, Noah Priebe, Ben Sluys, and Janae Sluys, and produced by Logan Murphy, "Love Made a Way" releases today.
