“Two Turtles is a love song I wrote to my wife, Natesa,” shares Collective Dust lead singer Wilson Marshall. “I was inspired by Ephesians 5:25, which states, ‘Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for her.’ Writing music is one of the ways God has gifted me in my life. I wanted to use that gift to both give back to and love God as well as my wife.”
Collective Dust has been gaining increasing momentum on Instagram and TikTok in recent months with their refreshing sound. Based in Clarksville, Tenn, the band is comprised of Willson Marshall (vocals), Jacob Marshall (lead guitar and vocals), Kynan Kreidel (rhythm guitar), Noah Kreidel (bass) and Kole Kreidel (drums). “Two Turtles” is the band’s third song, further establishing their burgeoning sound for eager social media listeners. They recorded it with Ethan Reindl at XENON STUDIOS.
Underneath the playful sound, Collective Dust has a deeper mission: to infuse their music with God’s unconditional love.
“The band's mission first and foremost is to be servants of Jesus Christ and stewards of the gospel, reaching and ministering to as many as will listen,” Wilson says eagerly. “Our very cool secondary mission is to play fun and awesome music and help people have an entertaining experience while listening or watching us perform.”
