LTTM Lindsey Week

Jan 18 2010

As you probably know by now, here at LTTM we are always keen to promote new artists, especially talented ones who are doing their own thing without the backing of a big record label. Recently we became aware of one British singer/songwriter who came up with an extremely ingenious method of generating the funds she needed to record her first album.

The artist in question is Lindsey, and she came up with the innovative 'Pick an Orange Project' where fans invested in the making of the album in return for a percentage of her profits. Each 'virtual orange' represented one song on the album and fans bought segments of the orange for £100 each, raising over £12k in just 5 months.

The resulting album, 'This Is Lindsey', is a testament to the incredible vocal talent of Lindsey, matched with her straight-from-the-heart song writing ability. Even before this debut album Lindsey was putting her singing skills to good use, providing vocals for the likes of Natasha Hamilton (Atomic Kitten), Liz McClarnon (Atomic Kitten), Sandi Thom and Michael Ball on the likes of Eurovision Song Contest and Top of the Pops.

At LTTM we have been so impressed with Lindsey that we wanted to give everyone the chance to discover her for themselves. So this week is officially 'Lindsey Week' on LTTM. We will be featuring something about her every day this week.
