Sixpence None The Richer Begin Recording New Album
Sixpence None The Richer have begun work on their new highly anticipated album after recently signing with Credential Recordings. The Nashville based band have traveled to California and this week started working with recording legend Jim Scott (Crowded House) at his studio.
The band, made up of Leigh Nash (lead vocals), Matt Slocum (guitars) and Justin Cary (bass), got together in the early 1990s and are best known for their mainstream success with the song 'Kiss Me', and their covers of 'Don't Dream It's Over' and 'There She Goes'. Sixpence went their separate ways in 2004 before reuniting in 2008 to release an EP titled 'My Dear Machine' and their first Christmas album, 'The Dawn of Grace'. In 2009 they played a headline slot at the Greenbelt Festival in the UK.
It is expected that the new album from Sixpence will be released sometime in 2010.
