Pivotal Awakening's New Release 'Praise the Glory' Turns Bible Characters Into A Powerful Christian Rock Story
'Praise the Glory', from Pivotal Awakening, is an edgy and emotional Christian rock song, based on the experiences of the Bible’s Mary Magdalene and Thomas. It begins in a somber mood, as Mary Magdalene walks to the tomb of Jesus. She then sees the miracle of the risen Jesus. The musical mood shifts to energetic as Mary is joined by Thomas, and they share the story of what they have seen.
'Praise the Glory' is the ninth release by Pivotal Awakening’s Mindi Odom and Andy Graves. Since the release of their first song in late 2019, they have attracted an international audience of over 100,000 Facebook followers. In 2021, Pivotal Awakening was voted as Finalists in the 2021 Detroit Music Awards in four categories: Outstanding Christian Group, Outstanding Christian Songwriters, Outstanding Christian Vocalist, and Outstanding Christian Instrumentalist.
What began as a plan to record “one song, just for fun†in August of 2019 has now transformed into an amazing friendship and musical partnership. Friends for several years on their church worship team, Mindi and Andy’s trip to record that “one song†was a life-changing experience. Encouraged by their producer to write more songs together, Mindi and Andy experienced a songwriting explosion. Their simple plan was quickly replaced by God’s amazing plan for them and their music, and they can’t wait to see what happens next!
