British Artists To Record Haiti Charity Single At Abbey Road
British Christian artists will join forces to record a special single designed to raised funds for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. Artists who will feature on the recording include Tim Hughes, Graham Kendrick, Ken Riley (Yfriday), Tre Shepherd (Onehundredhours), The 29th Chapter, Simon Brading, LZ7, X Factor finalists Voices With Soul and Beverley Trotman, and many more.
The artists will gather at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London on 27th February to record the single which is expected to be released in April. All proceeds from the single will go to the Compassion Charity who have been working in Haiti since before the earthquake.
Kingsway Music's Les Moir who is helping to organise the single said, "It's great when Christian artists can work together on a project that will provide help and assistance to people that need it. More than anything it demonstrates Christian unity and togetherness. Lawrence and I first worked on the recording of a charity single in 2005 following the tsunami that hit southern Asia in 2004 on Boxing Day. Christian artists came together and wrote and recorded the song 'One Voice' and raised £30,000 for the victims of the tsunami. We hope to achieve the same level of success and help the homeless of Haiti with our single."
