Faith-based music artist, YB, has blessed his fans with a new visual for his song, 'Runnin' Wit God', available now via YouTube.
YB affirms the belief in his savior with the powerful visual for 'Runnin’ Wit God'. Comparable to fellow faith-based artists KB or Gawvi, YB redefines Christian hip-hop aesthetics through swaggering, purpose-driven content.
'Runnin Wit God' features a country-tinged trap beat that YB flows over effortlessly. The music video follows YB as he contemplates a decision that could alter his life forever. He raps candidly about his personal journey of deep reflection, resilience, and clarity while isolated in an abandoned building.
YB is clear about his intentions to elevate his visual storytelling. "I wanted to create a visual beyond my normal video concepts," he explains to NRT. He aims to captivate listeners and 'Runnin’ Wit God' does not fall short.
“As people recover, my understanding is that I’m a tool and a small piece of a really big picture. So if I can play my role to serve people well, that’s a win for me,†YB tells The Christian Beat.
Growing up in a single-parent household, YB has used the art of music to showcase his passion for youth and God. With his latest EP Provision II, YB hopes to encourage strength, hopefulness, and the overcoming of hardship.
“We wanted that to serve as a project of healing for everyone, as so many were going through COVID. So ‘Provision II’ was serving as making it through,†he adds.
