AD Christie Releases New Single 'God Is Love'
In his uplifting and elevating new single, ‘God Is Love,’ Christian pop composer AD Christie brings listeners the next chapter of his Gospel message, the ‘Gospel Context Series.’ Recording and releasing a series of seven singles which focus on the different elements of the Gospel message, ‘God Is Love’ is the fourth song in AD Christie’s project, released on April 16th 2022.
“The lyrics for this song comes directly from 1 John 4:8-10 and Romans 3:23-25 in the Bible. In this song, we hear the most beautiful message ever put to paper: which is that God is love and in his Love, he sent his son to die for the sins of the world that those who believe in him might be saved.†explains AD Christie. The previous singles investigated Gospel themes, such as how God cannot tolerate sin, an exploration into how all people are sinners, and the fact that forgiveness without payment is unjust. The message of ‘God Is Love’ is the first song to bring a heartwarming and euphoric energy to the series.
Opening with the picking of an acoustic guitar that feels gentle and tender, beautiful female vocals soar in, uplifting and lighthearted in their delivery yet emotive and stirring. This is accented throughout with versatile drums, that bring sensitivity to the delicate moments while more dramatic segments offer power and strength. Melodic piano instrumentation gives the song a ballad feel, that is cinematic and moving, while an electric guitar and bass guitar weave in and out of each other. The symbiosis of ethereal layers colliding together in ‘God Is Love’ create something evocative and magnificent.
Inspired by the likes of Michael W Smith and Sergei Rachmaninoff, AD Christie’s greatest influence is Jesus, the primary motivator for his compositions, with 95% of his lyrics coming directly from the Bible.
