50,000 People Expected For Saddleback Easter Stadium Service Led By Kari Jobe

Singer/Songwriter Kari Jobe will celebrate Easter Sunday at a huge service at Saddleback Church, the Southern California mega-church pastored by renowned speaker and author Rick Warren. Kari will lead worship that morning along with American pop/rock boy band The Jonas Brothers at a special Easter service to be held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim at 10am on 4th April. This Easter service marks Saddleback's 30th anniversary and is expected to be attended by up to 50,000 worshippers.

Kari is the worship pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas and was 2009's top-selling debut Christian artist. Later in April, Kari will be in Nashville for the 41st Annual Dove Awards where she is nominated for New Artist of the Year, one of the award show's most prestigious honours. She is recognised for her best-selling, self-titled debut CD and her growing reputation as one of the most respected female worship leaders in the US. In addition to New Artist, Jobe is also nominated for Spanish Language Album of the Year (for the Spanish language version of her debut CD) and for Special Event Album for 'Glory Revealed II: The Word of God In Worship'.

Talking about the Dove Award nominees press conference which she attended, Kari said, "Once we were all seated on the front row and were anxiously waiting to begin the press conference, I looked at the announcers beside me and realized someone was missing, it was Michael W. Smith. He finally took his seat. I leaned forward to greet him and I no more got my name out that he said 'I Love your music'! It was just so cool that someone I’ve watched since I was young, to acknowledge me and to say he likes my music. I could have left right then and been a happy little girl! What an incredible journey that God is taking me on."
