South American Songwriter Dewaynega George Releases 'UNITY' Single

Aug 24 2022

Dewaynega George, a singer-songwriter from Guyana, South America, has released his latest single 'Unity', available now on all streaming platforms.

"I started singing at the age of seven years old. My aunt always encouraging me to sing in church because of the way I would be singing at home when doing my house chores. But I was always shy and I couldn't face people. I started learning to play the piano and the drums which I played every Saturday at the church", he explains.

"In late 2015 God was speaking to me at the half night prayer session, it was a Saturday night, when this great miracle took place. What a mighty God we serve. Pastor Patterson was saying we need to acknowledge God for who He is, Praise Him, then thank Him.

I was always encouraged by my mom and aunt about writing. The spirit was working through me that very night, I was told constantly about writing, I should start writing my own songs. I couldn't sleep that night, all of what the pastor talked about was on my mind. I found myself writing my first song in the middle of the night {I PRAISE YOUR NAME LORD}. I was in shock and so excited. I have one EP of nine songs and I'm still writing for the kingdom of heaven.

I currently service at Ephesus S.D.A Church as the Music Coordinator. I was also introduced to Kingdom Music Academy, a community of like minded gospel singers, songwriters and musicians from all over the world. We share and grow together, writing and learning from each other. I thank God for what He is doing and what He will continue to do in my music ministry."
