Worship Leader Maria Hilman Releases 'Hold Tight' EP
Maria Hilman, a worship leader, singer/songwriter based out of Maui, Hawaii, has released her new EP 'Hold Tight', available on all streaming platforms. The four-song EP includes title track 'Hold Tight' and the single 'Only You'.
"Hold Tight came out as a soul reminder for when I was facing a lot of unknowns", explains Maria. "Getting to write this song with Stephen McWhirter and Aaron Link, was such a gift. The words to Hold Tight unfolded so easily as we looked together at the unknowns we’ve all faced at times, and a song of hope and encouragement is what came out. I hope this song will meet others in their unknowns and bring hope that God will come through."
Although born in the Midwest, her roots hail from Bogota, Colombia. Her passion for music started from a young age and developed through her time serving with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) and the local church. The driving passion behind Maria's music is to connect with people through worship, and together experience deep, life changing encounters with God.
Maria is a wife and mom of two boys, and for the last decade has been devoted to discipling young people, and leading worship for global ministries like YWAM as well as the local church. She released her debut self titled EP in 2019 as her first step as an individual artist. Listeners describe her sound as one that creates a bridge between worship and pop inspired music.
