Apr 29 2010

Michael W Smith has been busy working in the studio on his new album since the start of the year and with the final touches being added over the next couple of months the album is expected to be released in September 2010. The new album will include an emotional song about abuse called 'Leave', and a love song for Michael's wife Debbie titled 'You Belong To Me'.

Michael will be kicking off his World Tour tonight, 29th April, at Queensway Cathedral in Toronto. The first two weeks of the tour will be spent in Canada before Smith and his band fly over to South Africa and Zambia for over a week of tour dates followed by dates in Brazil, Costa Rica, and Guatelmala over a 2 week span.

In July Michael will be performing on a week long cruise to Alaska with 1800 people, where fans will be the first to hear the new album as a completed project during one of the late night listening parties on the ship. During August Michael will be on tour with Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert tour. That will be followed by the huge 'Make A Difference Tour' starting at the end of September alongside TobyMac, ThirdDay and Max Lucado. Michael will then head to Eastern Europe for some shows before his Christmas tour starts in late November and Early December.
