Ben Jack And Friends Release New Book 'The Pursuit'
Christian DJ Galactus Jack, real name Ben Jack, has a new book being published this week. 'The Pursuit' is out on Friday, 21st May 2010 and features contributions from Thebandwithnoname's Chip K and singer Shell Perris, plus Amy Burns (G:EM), Chris Cole (GOD TV), Ben Cooley (Hope For Justice), Andy Flannagan (Christian Socialist Movement) and Steve Gambill (Rocknations) amongst others, with a foreword from evangelist Mark Ritchie.
"The current youth generation have more influences in their lives than ever before", says the book's blurb. "With so many voices pushing and pulling for attention, it's no wonder that we have a youth culture that is confused, misunderstood and struggling to find identity and purpose. This book is filled with the message that God has a purpose for your life! No matter how old you are, you can see your world transformed if you dare to pursue God's call!
It's time for this generation to stop being at the mercy of the worlds influence and, through God centred living, be the ones to influence the world! Be warned though, this book and this challenge are not for the easily offended and faint of heart! God pursued us first, can you and your generation be the ones to now pursue after him with all you have? The chase of a lifetime has begun, the question is... dare you join... 'The Pursuit'?"
The book is priced at £3.99. "Ben is a great communicator. Reading The Pursuit is like having a coffee with Ben. He explains deep things simply, you leave challenged but with a smile on your face" said Jon Burns, founder of Lions Raw and Pastor of The Vine, Teesside. Ben released his debut EP, 'Reality Bytes' under the name Galactus Jack last year and won the Best Contemporary Album award at the CBC Media Awards 2010.
