UK Gospel artist Asha Elia wages a 'Heavenly War'

Sep 15 2023

Fresh off the heels of her breathtaking duet cover of VaShawn Mitchell’s “Nobody Greater”, UK Gospel’s Asha Elia is back with another smash hit. Speaking about the new single the star said: “I’ve been learning that spiritual warfare is about choosing life, as children of God we have so much more power than we often realise. We just need to know who we are before we can walk in our true identity.”

With two StepFWD Awards and a MOBO Award nod to her name, it’s safe to say that the gospel sensation is one of UK gospel’s brightest stars. Renowned for her soft, delicate, and ethereal vocals, Asha Elia’s style meshes R&B, Afrobeats and Soul.

Since bursting on the scene in 2018 the singer has amassed over five million Spotify streams and collaborated with the likes of Limoblaze, Jonathan Ogden, Kojo Dave, Sharyn and Rehmahz.

Asha’s latest offering sees her team up with fiancé Namesbliss to wage ‘Heavenly War’. The soft pop infused anthem is a far cry from the original Afrobeat version released in August this year. Her effortless airy vocals soar on the piano laced song as she cries “Lord protect me from my enemies.” Indeed, ‘Heavenly War’ is a timely reminder that we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

‘Heavenly War’ by Asha Elia will take you on a musical journey that will uplift your spirits, inspire your faith, and leave you wanting more from this remarkable UK Gospel artist.
