Speaking about the new song, Folabi said: “You find yourself in a safe space mentally when you listen. I was in a season of doubt and very much in a low place in my life and I heard these words “when you are feeling, remember I am in control†I went straight to home studio and produced an entire song in 2 hours with those words stuck in my head.â€
“In Control†is released off the back of Folabi’s critically acclaimed duet with UK gospel R&B singer, Sharyn. The duo reimagines Donnie McClurkin’s “Great is your Mercyâ€, giving it a stripped back acoustic twist.
