Louder Than The Music

Vanessa Kersting, a two-time CMAA People’s Choice Award finalist, has released her latest single, Holding Me. The song is taken from her forthcoming new album 'From The Bathroom Floor' dropping 21 June 2024.

“When things are hard,” the Australian singer songwriter says, “we can close our eyes, take a deep breath, and know there’s something bigger sustaining us.”

Now residing in Mississippi USA, the birthplace of Elvis, Sam Cooke, B. B. King, and Faith Hill, Vanessa maintains that the key to good songwriting is to create a simple melody that everyone can sing along to.

"Last year, when I was in a tricky spot a mate of mine taught me this breath prayer - inhale: God is with me, exhale: I am held. It helped remind me of truths that don’t change, even in the midst of what seemed like chaos and helped me catch my breathe again. So, I wrote a song about it", she explains.
