Yfriday To Bow Out With Final Gigs And 'Best Of' Album
UK based worship band Yfriday, who announced at the start of this year that they would be ending the band in 2010 after 17 years together, will release a 'Best Of' album before they finish. 'Everlasting God - The Very Best Of Yfriday' will be released on 16th August featuring 28 of their most popular songs, including the award winning title track 'Everlasting God' which the band's lead singer Ken Riley co-wrote with Brenton Brown.
"The journey might be just about over, but for Yfriday the final year of their remarkable ministry will be anything but quiet", says Kingsway Music. "And so the time is clearly right for the release of Everlasting God - The Best of Yfriday. Featuring groundbreaking songs including the ASCAP Award-winning title track - the album charts the band’s progress from early musical missionaries to full-grown worship leaders. All those trademark bounce-ups are there, as well as later material that tells of a deepening understanding of God’s character. The result is unmissable."
Yfriday will finish with a special Farewell Show in their hometown of Newcastle, at the City Hall on 31st October 2010. Prior to that, the band will also perform at the Youth For Christ North East event 'Harvest', from 18th to 22nd August, and at Athena in Leicester on 29th October.
