The Broadest Blue Releases A Vivid Genre-Blurring Look At Revelation In 'The Four Horsemen'

Jan 24 2025

The Broadest Blue, the artistic name of Kurt Juergens - a songwriter and composer whose work has been featured by outlets like Obscure Sound and Divide + Conquer, releases latest track, 'The Four Horsemen' - a vivid, genre-blurring setting of Revelation 6:1-8.

"This is my most ambitious release yet, blending trippy indie-rock with Wagnerian strings, cinematic soundscapes, and spoken word narration to bring this apocalyptic vision to life", explains Kurt. "It captures the raw intensity of these prophecies, weaving their weight into an unforgettably vivid soundscape. The result, I hope, will be a reminder for the Church, and compel nonbelievers to seek out the Scriptures and Christ."

Based in New York City, The Broadest Blue features Kurt Juergens presenting creative and melodic storytelling over a backdrop of rich and unusual textures. Always in pursuit of the harmonically otherworldly, Juergens' songs feel like a dream world.

"The Broadest Blue produces an originally stimulating sound that brings a track’s lyrical world and audible soundscape to life...the vocals of project lead Kurt Juergens flex emotion and narrative power." - Obscure Sound

"Even for those unaware of its musical complexity, [debut LP 'Kennedy'] is a success." - Divide and Conquer
