Australian Singer-Songwriter, Nerida, Releases First Single off Upcoming Album
True North is the first taste of Nerida’s upcoming album, In the Midst of the Dark. Nerida explains, “True North is the key that opens the whole album, capturing the experience of intense change, loss and confusion, which in time allows new roads to be chosenâ€.
The album, due for release on April 5, was initially recorded in Canowindra, Nerida’s hometown, with Nashville-based producer Paul Colman. A range of skilled musicians, including Paul, added their excellence to the tracks. The film clip was filmed and edited by Nerida, who learned the art of self-produced song films during Covid.
Nerida has been writing and performing for over 30 years, in a great variety of contexts. Her richly nuanced songs are loved for their honesty, for breathing the rural landscape, and for whispering hope.
