Another British Band Ends As Kairos Call It A Day
British rock band Kairos have announced that they are calling it a day after over 3 and a half years as a band. Lead singer and the band's founding member Aaron Pimlott says, "After a lot of thinking and many meetings with the rest of the band over the past 3 months, we have decided it is time for KAIROS to call it a day."
"We of course are a bit gutted that things didn't turn out as we had first dreamed and hoped that they would. One thing we can confidently say is that we gave it our all and played and sung our hearts out. Through the blood, sweat and tears of it all, the highs and the lows, we don't regret one second of the journey we had with KAIROS" says Aaron.
The band started in January 2007 after hearing of a national competition that would showcase them live on TV and then won them a spot to play alongside some prestigious artists in front of thousands of people. The band managed to clock up some miles touring around the UK and also some air miles traveling to Northern Ireland a number of times, and also a tour in Portugal. They also released two 6 track EP's titled 'Something New' in 2007 and 'Piercing the Darkness' in 2008.
The band members futures are uncertain, but Mark, Matt, Jono and Jonatas still plan to be in Norwich and continue playing music in their separate lives. Aaron is in the middle of the immigration process to move with his Australian wife, Anna, to Brisbane in Australia. In a statement on their website Kairos said, "The band wishes to thank all of the people they have had the privilege of sharing their music with over the past few years- thanks for listening!"
