Rave Jesus is redefining what worship can sound like. The forthcoming debut album, I Met God on the Dancefloor, features original songs with Grace Binion, SON., Thalia, and more.
Rave Jesus is more than an artist; Rave Jesus represents a collaborative movement where a rebellious spirit of faith, joy, hope, and creativity intersect with dance music. The heart behind the movement is simple yet radical: to create music that captures the heart of the Lord and put it to dance music, releasing a new worship sound on the earth that invites people to encounter God in unexpected places.

To quickly sum the album up, the answer is this album is a brilliant rave album that turns a lot on it's head. This album got me dancing, it got me moving in a way I probably haven't done for ages. Great beats, exciting, intense sounds but it all focuses the listener on God. I really enjoyed this album and this is coming from someone who is more of a guitar man.
This album is 23 songs long and just under an hour and 20 mins. You get a lot of music here. But each track has its own rightful place on the album. I'm sure some will love more songs than others and I hope to give a little reflection on some songs here, but I have to admit this as a collection of songs together works amazingly.
I got lost in the beauty and magic when listening to 'It Is Well' .The beat in the track 'Take Me Higher' which features the brilliant SON. was something truly wonderful. And I can guarantee you the catchy melody line and lyric of "A Little Dose of the Holy Ghost" will be stuck in your head all day once you hear it. 'Tu Amor' sounds musically like it was taken straight from the stage of the Eurovision song contest.
Another massive compliment has to be handed to the vocals on 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' which features Brandon Lake are sublime as you would expect but the sound that is created in this dance/remix version is something else.Wow. The music hits you in the face with power and intensity that is replicated in the vocals of Brandon Lake.
Growing up with Delirious? being my band of my teens, hearing this version of 'I Found Jesus' really brought back memories but hearing this edition as a club dance-floor filler is something truly beautiful.
Songs like 'Runnin' and 'I Met God On The Dancefloor' sounding like it was written and recorded during the early 90's UK Rave music scene and would have fitted next to any song released then. Yet this rave album is modern but it gives a massive nod to the history of rave music. The album features original songs with Grace Binion, SON., Thalia, and more, as well as transformative remixes of songs by Brandon Lake and Elevation Worship and it all works together expertly.
The press release for this album says "Every song on I Met God on the Dancefloor reflects that vision, pairing high-energy production with a deeper spiritual purpose. It’s music meant to move both body and soul, inviting listeners to encounter the presence of God in celebration rather than silence". And for me this album does exactly that. It makes you want to dance, hands in the air but at the same time it touches your soul with energy and elation.
I love the fact this album is so different musically to a lot of albums released recently and isn't ashamed of it. It's a proper Rave album, that is as good as any rave album out but with God 100% being the centre of the music. This is an album that is full of Christian club anthems, and I'm all for it.
