A Lost Moment Reborn: Zoe Records UK Announces the Digital Release of Live in Texas: Isaac Odeniran & Friends

Dec 18 2025

Zoe Records UK is set to revive a cherished chapter of early-2000s gospel with the digital release of Live in Texas: Isaac Odeniran & Friends. Originally recorded in 2003 at Anchor Church in Fort Worth, the project captured a night filled with energy, community, and the unmistakable warmth of contemporary American gospel. For years, it lived quietly on DVD, treasured by those who owned it but inaccessible to a wider audience. Until now.

Two decades later, a return to the archives brought this live recording back into focus. The rediscovery sparked an effort to remaster and preserve it, led by audio engineer Alan Bradshaw, who restored the project with fresh clarity while honouring its original feel. The result is a vivid snapshot of a musical era defined by choir-driven praise, infectious rhythms, and heartfelt expression.

At the centre of the performance stands Isaac Odeniran, joined by a full choir and a gifted lineup of vocalists. Beverley Moore shines on Cast Your Burdens Unto Jesus and Holy Walk. Little Debbie Dee brings spirited energy to This Little Light of Mine and I Have Seen the Downfall of Satan. Choir director Joel McCray leads the room in the joyful, foot-stomping I've Gotta Feelin'.

The album's tracklist reads like a journey through timeless gospel standards, beginning with a moving rendition of I Exalt Thee and flowing through classics like All the Way to Calvary, Blessed Assurance, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, and In the Sweet By and By. Many of these songs went on to reappear in Isaac's later projects, including God Bless This Child (2008) and Marriage Is of God (2003).

For Isaac, releasing this project today carries deep personal meaning. "Looking back at this project reminds me of where everything began," Isaac reflects. "So much of my journey since then has moved into film and storytelling, but music was my first home. Revisiting this live recording felt like reopening a door to the foundation of my calling. I'm grateful it can now be shared again in a new way."

The digital release marks not only the return of a long-unavailable project, but also a tribute to an era. It celebrates the nostalgia of early 2000s gospel while reintroducing Isaac Odeniran's musical legacy to new listeners and long-time supporters alike.

Live in Texas: Isaac Odeniran & Friends will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music from 15 December. The project features updated artwork inspired by the original 2003 cover.
