Date For 2011 Big Church Day Out Announced
The UK's BigChurchDayOut have announced the dates for the 2011 event. This time the event will take place solely at Wiston House in West Sussex on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May 2011. Tickets will go on sale on 1st November 2010 with anyone buying a one day ticket also eligible to buy a ticket to the second day at half price. A huge camping area will also be available.
The line up of bands and artists is yet to be unveiled but once again the Main Stage lineup will be the same on both days. Both the Tea Tent and the B Stage will have different artists each day, and a new 'Village Fete' area will be created.
In 2010 the BigChurchDayOut took place in two locations, however the organisers have decided to return to only one venue in 2011, saying "After much prayerful consideration, we've decided to concentrate our efforts at Wiston House in West Sussex. We will not be holding an event at Stanford Hall in 2011. The good news for our friends who came to Stanford Hall is that the venues are only 3 hours apart.
The stunning Wiston Estate has a huge camping area and has benefitted from major investment in its road system, making it the natural choice for a growing national event. The Midlands event in 2010 was amazing, so it wasn't easy to make the decision to consolidate in Sussex. However, we want to ensure everyone that we are committed to seeing the event continue to grow over the long term, so that it can impact as many people from inside and outside the church as possible."
