Timeless Classics And Sacred Favorites Find Tim Lovelace 'On A Different Note'

Jan 23 2026

On a Different Note, the evocative new collection from award-winning singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and comedian Tim Lovelace, is now available on all streaming platforms. Showcasing his signature piano stylings across a thoughtfully curated selection of eight American classics and beloved sacred favorites, Lovelace co-produced and arranged the StowTown Records release along with co-producer and orchestrator Wayne Haun (Celine Dion, Jason Crabb).

Album opener “What a Wonderful World” plots a sentimental course for On a Different Note, which also boasts such standards as “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “Let There Be Peace on Earth.” Equally imbued with inspiration, the project features beloved hymn “This Is My Father’s World” and the rollicking Gospel tune “The Meeting in The Air” as well as “Garden of Praise,” a medley uniting past and present favorites “In The Garden,” “My Tribute,” and “Goodness of God.”

“With selections spanning America’s vast musical legacy, I like to think of On a Different Note as a sonic patchwork quilt of melodies,” Lovelace shares. “Songs like ‘Let There Be Peace on Earth’ and ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ evoke important memories and remind us of the power of music to transcend genres and generations. I also hope my arrangement of the ‘Celebration of America Medley’ brings both joy and peace to listeners during this special year for our country.”

“Whether through comedy, singing, or playing the piano, Tim Lovelace has always impressed me as a master communicator,” says StowTown Records president Landon Beene. “There is something extra special about his musicianship, and I’m so honored and excited to be presenting this highly anticipated project featuring the piano side of Tim Lovelace.”

Commemorating the United States’ 250th birthday, On a Different Note delivers the standout “Celebration of America Medley” featuring a tapestry of such patriotic stalwarts as “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “Shenandoah,” “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee,” “America The Beautiful,” and “God Bless America.” The stirring montage spotlights Charlie McCoy on harmonica—a Country Music Hall of Famer and Grand Ole Opry member who has contributed to recordings by Elvis, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, and Bob Dylan, among numerous legendary artists through the decades.

McCoy is also featured on “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” and “Pass Me Not/Precious Lord," marking a full-circle moment for Lovelace. "I started listening to Charlie McCoy’s harmonica albums as a teenager and was so impressed with his musicianship that I drove from South Alabama to Fayetteville, West Virginia, twice just to hear him play in his hometown,” he recalls. “What an honor for him to join me all these years later for three selections on this project.”
