Louder Than The Music

The award-winning Urban Christian Artist, Songwriter & Producer Lawrence Hancock returns with the release of his 12th album, 'God Chose Me' on March 21, 2026.

Typical of Lawrence's diverse range of musical styles, the new 14-track album features mid-tempo anthems, open hearted ballads and outright songs of praise. The assortment of percussion and urban sounds, multiple guitars, acoustic ukulele, piano and orchestral arrangements take the listener on a flight of faith, supported with carefully constructed vocal arrangements.

The new album follows the success of Lawrence Hancock's previous album, 'Undefeated' which was voted in 5th place in the LTTM Album of the Year Award 2025. The song, 'Make Me Greater,' was selected as the Worldwide Songwriting Awards Best Gospel Song and by the Indies Music Channel Awards for the same. The Indie Music Channel Awards also recognized Lawrence for Best Gospel Artist. The Elite Music Awards recognized the album in 3rd place for Album of The Year (all genres) and 3rd place for Producer of The Year. "I'm so grateful that the journey to give God glory with these gifts has been recognized and continues", exclaims Lawrence.

"Trusting God is often approached in parallel with how we trust humans... with skepticism. We increase our confidence in trust through performance. This song creates the space for the listener to be encouraged to matriculate from skepticism to relying on God through signs and wonders. The impact paves the way for the listener to enhance their relationship with God by recognizing his presence daily!"
