"Since 2023, Lilly and Aggie, my two oldest daughters, and I have been writing some Gospel songs. We wondered what they were for, but God has shown all of us that it is for me to sing for "my own" music", explains Risa.

From the moment I pressed play, the first thing that immediately stood out was the rich, expressive tone of the piano. It doesn’t just sit in the mix — it leads the entire track with confidence and warmth. The piano work carries a clear jazz influence, full of character and nuance, and it sets a strong musical foundation that draws the listener in right away.

At its core, is the piano, but what makes “Isn’t He Good” particularly engaging is the way it refuses to stay in a single stylistic lane. The addition of country-style guitar flourishes adds a tasteful layer of texture and contrast, giving the arrangement extra depth and personality. Rather than feeling disjointed, the genre blending is handled smoothly, allowing the different elements to complement each other naturally.

The vocals are another strong point.There’s a polished, powerful, and have a theatrical quality to the delivery that elevates the emotional impact of the song. The vocals feels controlled, confident and elegant.

What really gives the track its identity, though, is its scale. There’s a fullness and sense of drama in the arrangement that makes it feel bigger than a typical jazz or country crossover. At times, it genuinely feels like it could slot into a Broadway musical soundtrack.
