Alexander Pappas Releases Worship Album 'Sunday'

Apr 25 2026

Worship leader and songwriter Alexander Pappas releases his new project, SUNDAY, with Integrity Music, marking a significant shift in both his sound and songwriting focus. Known for his work with Hillsong Young & Free and as a co-writer on globally recognized songs including “Alive,” “Wake,” “Real Love,” and “Echo” (Elevation Worship), Pappas brings a renewed vision to his solo artistry with a collection designed for both corporate worship and everyday faith.

"The message I hope people receive is that these songs would draw people together to praise, YES praise, an outward, out loud physical expressive display of worship to our God,” shares Alexander Pappas. "I pray these songs equip you to be a worshipper seven days a week and lead us to be the disciples He intends for us to be."

The songs on SUNDAY carry a message centered on the power and purpose of worship. “Everything With Breath” highlights praise as a transformative, Scripture-based act, while “Hands Up,” inspired by John 14:6, reflects daily dependence on Jesus and the freedom found in surrender. “It Is So Sweet” emphasizes God’s peace, blending a fresh congregational sound with the timeless hymn “‘Tis So Sweet.” The focus track, “Always Been Jesus,” points to the redemptive story woven throughout Scripture, underscoring the central truth that from beginning to end, the plan has always been Jesus.

This project highlights collaborations with other worship leaders, such as Chelsea Plank (SEU Worship) on "It Is So Sweet" and Leeland Mooring, who co-wrote the focus track "Always Been Jesus."

Pappas appeared on Fox & Friends’ “Faith & Friends” series during the Easter season, performing "Hands Up" and "Everything With Breath." Upcoming performances include the Amazing Life Church Conference (April 28–30), Charlotte Knights Faith and Family Day (May 2), Hope & Life Church Conference in Zurich, Switzerland (May 23–24), and IGNITE PRAISE in Dallas (June 13).
