It goes without saying that Heaven On My Mind was already a fantastic album - we've had over a year to appreciate just how good it is. But this expanded edition has even more to offer. Featuring guest appearances from Forrest Frank, gio., Jamie MacDonald, Jon Reddick, CeCe Winans, Third Day, Terrian and Juan Winans, the album is packed with incredible artists who each bring something fresh to these already-loved songs.
This was the perfect summer album in 2025, and there's every chance it will become the soundtrack to summer 2026 as well. Full of joy, hope and infectious energy, it's an album that's impossible not to enjoy.
I particularly loved the upbeat feel of the brand-new track, Lord It Feels Good, featuring gio. It's instantly catchy and fits seamlessly alongside the rest of the album. The title track, Heaven On My Mind, was already an epic song, but Forrest Frank adds another dimension that makes it feel fresh all over again.
We've long been champions of Jamie MacDonald here at LTTM, and her contribution to God Did It takes the song to another level. Her vocals are simply superb. My personal standout, however, is the beautiful Oh My Soul, featuring the incomparable CeCe Winans. Her voice adds such warmth and emotion that the song becomes an incredibly moving worship experience.
As I've said before, this Guest List Edition is a wonderful addition to an already exceptional album. TobyMac has created something that genuinely feels worth re-releasing with these extra tracks. Whether you're discovering Heaven On My Mind for the first time or returning to one of last year's best albums, this expanded edition deserves a place on your playlist this summer.
