Contemporary gospel group Vessels United deliver a powerful and uplifting five-track EP with Same Spirit, a project centred on salvation, identity in Christ and the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit.

Produced entirely by Mr Damention Studios, the EP also highlights the musical versatility of Vessels United. And they do it with real quality. There are some genuinely lovely songs on Same Spirit, with two tracks in particular standing out for me personally: ‘You Know It’ and ‘No More Condemnation’.

‘You Know It’ has a great sound and infectious beat, while lyrically reflecting on God’s perfect knowledge of us and offering a prayer for Him to transform our hearts and minds. It is a strong combination of an accessible contemporary sound and a message with genuine spiritual depth.

‘No More Condemnation’ is another highlight. The track affirms the assurance believers have in Christ, celebrating the freedom and justification that come through faith. Once again, Vessels United pair an important message with a memorable sound that makes the song immediately engaging.

A special mention must also go to closing track ‘Jesus Is Coming’, which introduces an electro-dance flavour and gives the EP an energetic finish. It is another example of the group’s willingness to explore different musical styles without losing sight of the message at the heart of their music.

That sense of purpose runs throughout Same Spirit. Although similar themes of faith, salvation, freedom and identity connect the five songs, each track has its own reason for being here. There are no throwaway tracks included simply to fill out the project; every song contributes something to the overall message the group wants to convey.

Overall, Same Spirit is a strong and enjoyable EP from Vessels United. With quality production, an interesting mix of musical styles and a clear message of hope and faith running throughout, this five-track release showcases a group that knows exactly what it wants its music to say - and delivers that message with confidence.
