Pat Barrett Releases 'Burn In Us' Worship Together Sessions Album
Dove Award-winning and GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and worship leader Pat Barrett releases Burn In Us (Worship Together Sessions) today in collaboration with Worship Together.
Recorded at Gnome Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, Burn In Us (Worship Together Sessions) gives fresh expression to songs from Barrett's acclaimed 2025 album, I've Got A Fire. Through stripped-back arrangements and live-in-the-room performances, the collaborative project creates space for both worship leaders and everyday listeners to encounter these songs in a more personal way, extending the original album's mission of serving the Church.
"I grew up in a small church. It wasn’t perfect (no place is), but it was powerful," shares Pat Barrett. "I think simplicity had something to do with it. These recordings remind me of that kind of simplicity. That kind of offering was so powerful to me growing up, and it’s still powerful for me today."
Worship Together adds, "Worship Together Sessions exist to create accessible arrangements of worship songs in a unique and compelling format for the Church. Pat Barrett's songs have always been filled with humanity, humility, and hope. Burn In Us gives us a glimpse into a holy moment with a band simply worshiping together. We hope it will bless worship leaders, teams, and listeners everywhere."
Through these intimate recordings, Burn In Us (Worship Together Sessions) invites listeners into authentic moments of worship while providing accessible arrangements that can serve churches and worship teams around the world.
Also this week, Barrett received three nominations for the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, including a prestigious Song of the Year nod as a songwriter for "God I'm Just Grateful," along with a Worship Recorded Song of the Year nomination for the powerful collaboration with Elevation Worship and Chandler Moore. Barrett also earned recognition in the Short Form Music Video of the Year (Concept) category for the title track from his latest album, I've Got A Fire. The heartwarming and fun video, which features Barrett alongside his father, has become a fan favorite for its portrayal of their joyful father-son relationship. Together, the nominations celebrate Barrett's continued impact as a gifted songwriter.
