Sound Affections Releases 'Wherever You Go (Joshua 1)' From 'Refuge & Strength' Album
Sound Affections, a creative project of Nathan Angelo which sets Scripture to music to strengthen and encourage God’s people, releases 'Wherever You Go (Joshua 1)' - an uplifting, mid-tempo Christian Contemporary song that focuses on the Lord's provision, protection and promise to be with His children ‘wherever they go.’
Since 2006, Angelo has been a steady voice in the indie singer-songwriter scene (i.e. Ben Rector, Drew Holcomb, Dave Barnes), selling over 40,000 albums and garnering more than 27 million streams on Spotify. However, a profound shift occurred in 2020. Finding himself unable to work or tour due to Covid-19 regulations, Angelo turned to the Bible, reading the Psalms daily.
In the midst of global uncertainty, he found immense comfort, strength, and peace in God’s Word. This transformative experience redirected his artistry, moving him from writing mainstream songs to overtly Christian material designed to uplift the church. This new chapter culminates in his debut full-length, faith-based album, Refuge & Strength, which was released on August 7, 2026, marking a powerful testament to God’s faithfulness throughout Nathan’s musical and spiritual journey.
