‘Do Not Go Gentle’ is a beautiful, atmospheric and subtle way to open the album. It’s a stunning introduction, but also the perfect stepping stone into what becomes an exquisite collection of songs.

That feeling, sound and quality continues throughout the album. ‘The Lifter Of My Head’ is another standout, with the added vocals of Aubree Archibeck taking the song to an already impressive level and adding another dimension to the track.

‘My Honor To Need You’ feels more personal and almost like a storytelling song, particularly through its lyrics. But personally, the song that really jumped out at me was the brilliant ‘He Wasted Nothing’. The music seems to grow and grow throughout the track, while the airy vocals create a beautifully balanced sound and add some lovely layers to the arrangement.

I also have to go out of my way to compliment the bass sound on ‘Christ That We Lift Higher’. It sits beautifully within the track and adds a depth that really helps the song come alive.

Another big compliment has to go to ‘Again and Again’. I love the use of the outside sounds at the beginning, followed by the spoken Bible verses. It’s a beautiful and creative introduction to what develops into a truly epic song.

The intimacy of ‘Oh Lord My God’ draws the listener in and creates something of a safe space within the album. It feels personal and reflective, allowing the listener to simply sit with the song and its message.

As we reach the end of the album, ‘Fear No Evil’ moves away slightly from the style established across much of the record, lifting the energy with its upbeat, dance-inspired sounds. It’s a really good song and one that I’m sure will uplift listeners.

Overall, this is a beautifully crafted debut solo project. There’s a real sense of atmosphere, intimacy and musicality throughout these eight tracks, with Noah allowing the songs to breathe and develop naturally.

It’s an album that rewards the listener for taking the time to sit back, listen and let the music wash over you.
