Louder Than The Music

Frye Family Band release their new song, 'Everything'. "You can have everything and still have nothing, or you can have nothing and still have everything". As soon as Tom spoke those words, he knew he that to write that song.

It was a conversation with a family member following an uncle’s funeral that originally prompted this observation. As they reminisced, Tom shared about the contrasting lives of this particular uncle and a well-respected artist who had passed a few weeks earlier.

Uncle Dutch had been a lifelong farmer and school bus driver. He had no awards adorning his mantle, no one stopped him on the street for autographs or selfies, and yet on the day of his funeral it seemed as though the whole small Indiana town shut down. The church was packed and the streets lined with cars as people paid their respects.

This was a stark contrast to the artist in reference who had received all the accolades and awards, had adoring fans, and yet died alone; no family, no friends. Completely alone.

To help craft this song, Tom enlisted the help of his friend, Curb Recording Artist Mo Pitney, who also joined the Frye Family Band in the studio providing lead guitar and background vocals.

This song, is a powerful reminder of what it truly important; faith, hope, and love.
