Ellie Holcomb Releases New Single 'Flowers For No Reason'
Award-winning singer-songwriter and author Ellie Holcomb releases her new song, “Flowers For No Reason,” today.
Written by Holcomb alongside Trent Dabbs and Cason Cooley, the infectious song celebrates the abundance of ways God reveals His love through the beauty and unexpected gifts found all around us. From flowers blooming for no apparent reason to the everyday beauty of creation, the song points to a simple truth at the heart of Holcomb’s new music: before anything, we are loved.
“‘Flowers For No Reason’ came from a chaotic day when a friend’s simple act, sending his daughter flowers just to remind her she’s loved, reminded me that God does the same for us, every day, for no reason at all,” shares Ellie Holcomb.
The song reflects Holcomb’s own journey of learning to rest in God’s love and rediscover the childlike wonder that comes from recognizing His goodness in both ordinary and unexpected places. It also introduces the heart behind her forthcoming album, a reminder to notice the beauty and grace woven into everyday life and to rest in the freedom of knowing we are deeply loved.
Holcomb heads into a busy season as a 2026 GMA Dove Award nominee for “Short Form Music Video of the Year (Performance)” for the title track from Far Country. She is currently touring with NEEDTOBREATHE alongside her husband, Drew Holcomb. The run follows the August release of their collaboration, “Promised Land.” In November, Drew and Ellie will take their longtime Moon River tradition to the sea with the inaugural Moon River At Sea, a new chapter for their former Moon River Music Festival featuring an impressive lineup of artists.
