OSHOKEZ Returns From Five-Year Hiatus With New Double Single 'Pressure Pack'

Oct 07 2026

Nigerian gospel hip-hop and afrogospel artist Oshokez - formerly known as King Brandon - releases his new double single "Pressure Pack", October 1st, across all major streaming platforms, marking his first project under the new name following a five-year break from music.

The two-track release arrives after a rebrand Oshokez describes as evolution rather than reinvention. "King Brandon was an era. Oshokez is the evolution," he says.

"Step" - New Jazz / Gospel Hip Hop. Produced by DanyBTS, "Step" centers on confidence, pressure, and faith - moving forward without being shaken by opposition.

"Throne III" - Afrogospel. The third chapter in a series that began with "Throne" on his 2019 debut project Wake Up SZN and continued with "Throne II" on 2024's Heaven's Frequency. Produced by Zeke, "Throne III" brings an afrogospel twist to the series, centered on God's grace and its benefits. Oshokez wrote, mixed, mastered, and engineered the track himself.

The release follows a string of chart success under the King Brandon name. "Yes Amen," from Heaven's Frequency, reached No. 12 on the UK Gospel Charts - part of 30 total chart entries across Apple Music, iTunes, and Deezer, including "Starboy" (from Covered EP) and "I Know It" featuring Se Ok. Across his catalog, Oshokez has amassed over 800,000 streams and 1,000+ Shazams, with past collaborations including Se Ok, Osayuki, Protek Illasheva, Tb1, and Naffymar.

"After years of creating as King Brandon, I got to a point where the name didn't fully represent who I'd become as an artist and as a person. Stepping away for five years gave me the space to grow outside of music and come back with a clearer sense of my identity, sound, and vision. Oshokez isn't King Brandon rebranded - it's a new beginning." - Oshokez
