Here at LTTM, we’ve really enjoyed seeing more and more people discover Sam Evans and his music, and I can’t wait for you guys to hear this latest release from him.

As the title suggests, ‘Surrender’ is a song about laying everything down before God — bowing down, letting go of our own plans and placing our trust completely in Him. It’s a powerful theme, but Sam delivers it in a way that feels personal rather than simply making it a statement of faith.

Musically, ‘Surrender’ sits more in the territory of a big power ballad, but there is a little more edge and grit running through it. It gives the song a sense of weight and intensity, preventing it from becoming just another gentle worship ballad.

What Sam does so well is sing from deep within his soul. There is an honesty in his delivery, and what comes through is less like someone simply performing a song and more like someone crying out in prayer. His vocals build with real emotion and conviction, giving the track a powerful sense of purpose.

The song ends with a little reprise of the classic hymn ‘I Surrender All’, which is a lovely touch and a fitting way to bring everything back to the central theme of the song. It feels like a natural final moment rather than simply an added extra, leaving you with the words and message of surrender ringing in your ears.

‘Surrender’ is a strong reminder that worship isn't always about having everything figured out. Sometimes it is simply about letting go, trusting God and giving everything back to Him. Sam Evans delivers that message with passion, grit and a genuine heart for worship.
