Louder Than The Music

Ten-song collection brings together personal Christmas memories, holiday favorites, and the 2024 #1 radio single 'This December (One To Remember)'

Singer-songwriter and two-time Josie Music Award winner Brandon Hixson will release his new holiday album, Home For Christmas, on November 1, 2026. The ten-song collection celebrates the warmth, humor, faith, and family memories that make Christmas meaningful.

Drawing from Hixson’s own life, the album turns unforgettable moments into songs. “Christmas In The Ditch” recalls an unusual Christmas Eve spent with his mother, when an ice cream outing ended with their green Mercury stuck in a muddy ditch. “Christmas ’87” returns to a little trailer by the lake in Texas, remembering childhood gifts, a house full of loved ones, and the belief that Christmas is found in the people who share it.

“That Old Christmas Tree” brings humor to the collection through the story of a well-loved tree passed along to his sister. “Christmas Magic (Frosty’s Blue Coat)” captures the wonder of a childhood dream involving Frosty, a magical blue coat, and a ride in Santa’s sleigh.

The album also features the title track, “Home For Christmas,” and Hixson’s 2024 #1 radio single, “This December (One To Remember).” Two cover recordings - “Christmas In Heaven” and “Even A Miracle Needs A Hand,” from the Rankin/Bass holiday special ’Twas the Night Before Christmas - join the original songs “The Miracle Of Christmas” and “My Favorite Part of Christmas” to complete the collection.

In a special family collaboration, Hixson’s wife, Karen, son, Caleb, and daughter, Caylin, all contribute vocals to “My Favorite Part of Christmas.” Their participation brings the album’s celebration of family to life, creating a recording that carries the voices of the people closest to him.

With stories ranging from playful family mishaps to tender reflections on Christmases past, Home For Christmas invites listeners to revisit their own memories and celebrate the love that gives the season its lasting meaning.

A native of Dawson, Texas, Hixson serves as Worship Pastor at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Ennis. His music career includes multiple #1 radio singles, two consecutive Josie Music Award wins for Christian/Inspirational Album of the Year, and more than 60 million views on his YouTube videos.
