Stuart Pendred Releases New Album 'Agnus Dei'
Stuart Pendred releases his latest album 'Agnus Dei' today, 21st February 2011. With a flourishing career as an innovative, powerful mainstream opera singer, whilst still singing music in a manner accessible to fans of all music genres, Stuart returns with a powerful collection of worship songs.
With well known songs like 'Shout To The Lord', 'Be Still', 'How Great Thou Art' and the Tim Hughes classic 'Everything', all delivered with intimate arrangements and epic crescendos, 'Agnus Dei' is something profoundly different. Demonstrating Stuart's skill as a writer, the album also includes five original tracks.
"I want to be a bit subversive with the music," explains Stuart. "I want the albums to appeal across all demographics - for people with faith, without faith and indeed those who are questioning." Stuart's previous album, 'Benedizione' (2008) rewrote a few of the rules of modern worship albums, with much of the album sung in Italian and with a style that combined opera with pop.
