Leeland To Release Fourth Album 'The Great Awakening'

Jul 14 2011

The fourth studio album from three time Grammy nominated and eight-time GMA Dove Award nominated worship band Leeland, 'The Great Awakening', will be released on 20th September 2011. The 11-track album, produced by Paul Moak (Third Day, One Sonic Society), is described by the band as a "worship revival experience".

"With its upcoming fourth release, The Great Awakening, Leeland recaptures the essence of its debut album while delving deeper into its spiritual roots; drawing from the wisdom of theologians including Salvation Army founder, William Booth", says Essential Records.

'The Great Awakening' will be the follow up to Leeland's 2009 album 'Love Is On The Move'. This time around, lead singer Leeland Mooring and brother Jack Mooring are joined by younger sister Shelly (18), along with drummer Mike Smith. Recording every song live-to-tape, this process allowed the bandmates to capture Leeland's signature energy found in its live performance.

"We've poured our hearts out into this record, and have very high hopes. God is doing a new thing everywhere and His glory is being poured out on the hearts that are truly hungry for Him. This record is a call for justice and a Great Awakening to the glory of God waiting for all who would believe in Jesus Christ!", said Leeland.
