If you're looking for a book that is a quick guide on how to write the next big worship song, or tips on being a better worship leader, then this isn't the book for you! Matt has written this book about how God can use us to be His light, and be a bright light at that.

Matt uses his own personal stories to help convey this in both a funny and really interesting way. I don't want to spoil how the book goes and quote all of Matt's great stories, but the one line in the book that really sums up what this book talks about is this: "Passionate worship is never a matter of merely getting the words and tune right or raising a loud shout. The true test of our passion for God will always be our lives. If I'm looking for a heightened way to tell God I love him, the very best way has very little to do with stringing poetic sentences together. It involves a life laid down in service and adoration.".

There are many other amazing moments in this book, too many to put in this review, but one thing is for sure, Matt wants you to understand that you can be shinning light for God. A big bright light, no matter how you feel about yourself, because God loves you. The book ends with an eight part study guide that draws on the book's content. This would be very useful in a small group or a worship team setting and is a very strong addition to the book.â€¨â€¨

Matt wants us to understand in this book that passion is more than a song or a feeling. It's a story of guts and glory, perseverance and purpose, and Matt accomplishes this in style. If you want to be inspired to get up and be the person God wants you to be then this book is one tool that might be useful to you, and with that it's a truly great read.
