Spring Harvest is a yearly conference in the UK that takes place over Easter and produces a yearly live album a few months after the event. This year is no exception, titled 'Route 66: Live Worship From Spring Harvest 2011' the live album captures the atmosphere during the worship times in the Big Top of both Minehead and Skegness sites. This fifteen track album takes all the best new songs from the conference and puts them onto a CD with a backing choir of thousands of passionate worshippers adding their voices.

Read More Spring Harvest is a yearly conference in the UK that takes place over Easter and produces a yearly live album a few months after the event.
The worship leaders that appear on this album are Vicky Beeching, Ben Cantelon, Trent, Noel Robinson & Geraldine Latty, each contributing their own style of worship to give this new live album the best array of musical styles to ever appear on the Spring Harvest Live recordings. This has to be commended, with Spring Harvest proving there isn't one style or genre that is 'the way' to worship God.
That has to be the biggest positive of this album, with the big rock worship anthems of Saviour Of The World and Our God led by Ben Cantelon and Trent respectively, to the soulful gospel tones of I Believe led and sung by Noel Robinson, and the more reflective atmospheric O The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus from Geraldine Latty. This is one album that isn't scared to mix the styles and sounds of worship to God on an album.

The recording of this live album has been done really well, actually capturing the 'live feel' of the event on the album, something which can be easily missed on some live albums. On 'Route 66' you can easily hear in the recordings of the songs the voices of the thousands of worshippers.
With such a variety of sounds, this is a great album to listen to some songs you might not have heard before. What this album does is take the best songs from the Easter festival from all the different worship leaders who lead over the weeks at the Skegness and Minehead sites. Hearing thousands worship God really stirs something inside, and this album does just that.
