Former Bosh & Dweeb Band Members Form Chaos Curb For New Album 'Collaboration'

Jan 17 2012

Members of former British bands Bosh and dweeb have joined forces to create a brand new worship movement called Chaos Curb. The group will release their first album, simply called 'Chaos Curb Collaboration', in early Spring 2012.

Chaos Curb is made up of former Bosh members Dave Griffiths (vocals and guitar) and James Grant (bass), former dweeb members Tim Alford (drums) and Gareth Hutchinson (guitar), plus David Evans (keyboards) who has previously worked as producer with Alamein's Torch, Becky Green, Brought Into Being and Veetacore.

In recording their 10 track album, the new band were joined in the studio by a selection of talented and well known musicians, including former Delirious? keyboardist Tim Jupp, Verra Cruz frontman Marc James (guitar), Mike Griffiths (BOSH drummer), Steve Coates (BOSH guitarist) and Deborah Hartup (The Burn Band).

"The sound of the songs vary and include big-beat rock, 80's tinged electro, blues-based balladry, dance-edged numbers and heart-achingly yearning rock", explains Dave Griffiths. "It's worship, Jim, but not as we know it. We have tried to be true to our creative urges, whilst maintaining an accessibility for church-use."

"I have longed to see a more cohesive joining together of 'frontline' kingdom organisations with Christian artists to create useful resources for the church", continues the singer. "Our mandate scripture is Isaiah 58 verses 6-12 and we want to explore what it means to be Jesus' hands and feet in the society we live in. We are working closely to support the work of the Foodbank Network, run from local churches across the UK by The Trussell Trust. This is a partnership we began with the Fruit Tree album BOSH made with friends last year. We feel it's vital that the concept of worship is not restricted to singing in church-halls, but is recognised as also being a very practical outworking. Chaos Curb encompasses the visual arts, and also community, with regular gatherings happening in Bournemouth."

Chaos Curb will perform at many of the larger Christian festivals in the UK, having already been confirmed for Big Church Day Out in June, and will also make a trip over to Slovakia. The band additionally plan to tour churches this Autumn.
