Claire Robinson EP out Now

May 08 2009

Claire Robinson has released her debut EP "I Hope You Know" and it is now available to buy on iTunes or on CD at Bridge Music Store.

Summer 2008 saw singer/songwriter Claire Robinson going back to her hometown of Lincoln with the exciting prospect of recording her first CD, the EP entitled "I Hope You Know." Claire began her musical journey at the age of eleven when she started taking piano lessons, soon realising it was more fun to play from memory, instead of just reading the score! From this developed her love of writing, both poetry and, of course, music.

Having known Ross Cornwall for sometime it was the logical step to record at dB Studios where he worked as engineer and producer. Drums and bass were taken care of by Steve and Isaac Marshall, who were already acquaintances of Claire. Lincoln guitarist Mole Middleton made the studio band complete.

The EP came together very quickly out of necessity as only a couple of days downtime existed between other studio projects.

Finally, the EP was completed in Jan 09, by which time Martin Clark had joined the band on guitar and Mole had left due to other commitments.

The Claire Robinson Band is now Claire Robinson piano and vocals, Steve Marshall drums and percussion, Isaac Marshall bass, Martin Clark guitars and Ross Cornwall keys. The Band has played both acoustic and electric versions of their songs to appreciative audiences in Lincoln and London.
