Empire Nation's New Album 'Closer' To Be Released In May

The second studio album from the UK's Empire Nation, titled 'Closer', will be released on 26th May 2012. The band have released their new single 'You're Not Alone' on iTunes, which features guest vocals from popular singer/songwriter Philippa Hanna.

The ten-track album, produced by Andy Baker of Resound Media, also includes the song 'Fire Fall Down', which is currently available as a free download on Louder Than The Music, plus title track 'Closer'. Empire Nation have also announced plans to tour the album starting from September.

"The band will perform a brand new set, with some new and familiar songs, splitting the event into three sections [Closer, Clearer, Brighter] the band will also share stories, thoughts & video; to encourage and inspire people into action for God."

'Closer' is the follow-up to the band's 2010 debut release 'Airtight'. Frontman Ed Bird says, "We've been working with some great co-writers and producers. Fans will have heard tasters on our tour last year so we're looking forward to finishing it for them. This album is all about getting real with life and closer with God."
