Audio Adrenaline Unveil 'Kings & Queens' Video & Reveal Delirious? Connection

Oct 12 2012

Audio Adrenaline have unveiled the music video to their debut single 'Kings & Queens' from their forthcoming new studio album, due for release in March 2013. The video was shot in Jacmel, Haiti at the Hands & Feet Project Children's Village.

"It's just an incredible song about this idea of when we love the least of these, God wraps these little orphans in his majesty and they can become kings and queens," shares founding member and current songwriter Mark Stuart of the song. "It gives you that idea that these are God's favorites, these little kids that have been forgotten. There's going to be a special place in heaven one day because of what they've been through here. It's just a triumphant, majestic song that just connects so deeply with Hands & Feet and the message of Audio A right now."

It was revealed this summer that Audio Adrenaline would re-form with former dcTalk singer Kevin Max as their new lead vocalist. Dave Ghazarian (Superchick) also joins the band on guitar, with Jared Byers (Bleach) on drums, and singer-songwriter Jason Walker playing on keys along with original member Will McGinnis on bass.

Talking to US chart publication Billboard about the new lineup, Kevin Max said "I'm just really super excited. These are guys I look up to. It was a no-brainer for me. The only [question] that I had in the whole scenario was: 'What's this going to be like musically?'"

Discussing the forthcoming new album in an interview with Jesus Freak Hideout, Will McGinnis reveals that Audio Adrenaline will cover a track from former Delirious singer Martin Smith's recent solo EP 'God's Great Dance Floor - Movement Two'. "We break a little new ground with one called 'Fire Never Sleeps'. It's a Martin Smith worship song that we kind of rock it up a little bit more and Kevin slays it on that one", explains Will.

In the same interview Kevin Max reveals that another former Delirious band member has been involved in the new project. "Mark [Stuart] and I started out real early writing together with different guys. Stu G. from Delirious? was one of them. Seth Mosley, who's very involved in this project.

We started writing with different guys. Juan Otero, who used to tour with dcTalk as a dancer, has basically co-written the first single, 'Kings and Queens', and the list goes on. Truth be known, I think this album has a shape now. It has absolute intention behind it and it's a cohesive piece of work right now, because we have it whittled down to 10 or 11 songs. I think it is a really strong, really strong record. And I say that as being a member of dc Talk and a solo artist, as well as being a member of Audio Adrenaline. And I can honestly tell you this is a huge project."
