Switchfoot Reveal Plans For Documentary Movie 'Fading West'
Rock band Switchfoot have revealed plans to release their own movie. Described as a documentary looking behind the story of the band, their albums, and their passion for surfing, the movie will be titled 'Fading West'.
"For the past year, we've been working on a movie", confirmed the band. "It's a project that we've been dreaming about for a long time - a documentary on Switchfoot: music, surfing, and the journey of the past eight records together.
We're calling it 'Fading West'. Stay tuned, we'll be posting trailers, behind the scenes footage, and more as we lead up the release of the film."
The band's lead singer, Jon Foreman releases the last instalment of his side project, Fiction Family, later this month. The album, 'Fiction Family Reunion' is released on 29th January 2013 with a tour starting the same day, and sees Foreman and Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek) collaborating on the follow up to their 2009 self-titled debut.
