Stu G Launches PledgeMusic Campaign For First Solo EP 'Of Burdens, Birds and Stars'
Former Delirious? guitarist and One Sonic Society member Stu G has announced plans to release his first solo project. 'Of Burdens, Birds and Stars' is a new 6 song EP written over the four years since Delirious? ended, documenting a time of transition, questioning, heartache and hope.
"My journey as part of Delirious? was an amazing rollercoaster ride lasting 17 years", explains Stu. "Since then I've found myself in Nashville working and building towards the next season. In that time I've found a home for my music in collaborating, recording and helping others be who they are."
Over the past four years Stu has written with and played for many artists including Michael W Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Casting Crowns, All Sons And Daughters and also his own project, One Sonic Society, alongside Jason Ingram and Paul Mabury.
"Now I feel like it's time to let my voice speak", Stu continues. "I said when Delirious? finished that as far as me and making music were concerned 'there's more where that came from' and that has been true in terms of collaborating with others but there have been songs and music come along that can only find a home with me as an artist and so this EP has come to life."
Stu has been co-producing the EP with Paul Mabury, who also plays drums on the recording along with Tony Lucido on bass.
Rather than sign with a record label, Stu has launched a PledgeMusic Campaign to fund the finishing costs of releasing the EP independently.
