The Gentlemen To Bow Out With Dual Headline Tour With Philippa Hanna
Sheffield based band The Gentlemen have announced that they will be calling it a day next month after 9 years together. The band will bow out following their Dual Headline Tour in July alongside singer/songwriter Philippa Hanna.
Both bands have recently supported major mainstream artists on tour, with Philippa Hanna supporting X Factor finalist Rebecca Fergusson and The Gentlemen featuring on an 11 date UK tour with The Feeling in March. Now two of the brightest young acts in the UK will be headlining their own tour.
The Gentlemen have been writing, recording and touring their own songs since 2005. Based in Sheffield they have gained a strong fan base throughout Europe and the UK. Marrying the worlds of electro-pop and indie, The Gentlemen have been described as "Brilliant" by Dermot O'Leary who invited them to play on his Radio 2 show in June 2013.
The band released three albums, 'Smile Back At Me' (2007), 'A Candid History of Faith Hope Love' (2009), and their eagerly anticipated third studio album 'Departures', released in November last year.
